Looking Beyond the Price to See What You Actually Get
When comparing granny flats, it’s natural to focus on price. However, the real difference often lies in what is included and the quality of the build itself.
Not all granny flats are built to the same standard — and understanding that difference is key to making the right decision.
What Sets Our Granny Flats Apart?
Our granny flats are built using Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF), a superior construction method that provides greater strength, insulation, and long-term durability compared to traditional building methods.
This results in a structure that is:
- Stronger and More Durable
- Warmer and More Energy Efficient
- Quieter and More Comfortable to Live In
It’s a higher-quality build from the ground up.
A Premium Build — Without the Premium Price
ICF is typically more expensive than standard construction methods.
However, we do not pass this additional cost on to our customers. Due to the volume of projects we complete and our established supplier relationships, we are able to deliver this higher-spec build at no extra cost.
This means you receive a superior product for the same overall price as a standard build.
Built Using Trusted, Approved Systems
We use ICF systems supplied by Amvic, a globally recognised manufacturer known for high-quality building products.
Amvic systems are not available for general use — installers must be vetted and approved. As an approved installer, we meet the required standards to deliver their system correctly and to a high level.
This ensures every build is completed using a proven system, installed as intended.
What’s Included as Standard?
Each granny flat comes fully finished and ready to use, with a complete internal fit-out included:
- Full plumbing throughout
- Complete electrical installation
- Sockets and lighting in every room
- Three kitchen downlights (spotlights)
- Two external lights
- Electric oil-filled radiators for efficient heating
Everything is designed to create a comfortable, functional living space from day one.
Long-Term Value That Goes Beyond the Build
Choosing a higher-quality construction method doesn’t just improve the building itself — it also reduces long-term costs.
With better insulation and durability, you benefit from:
- Lower energy bills
- Reduced maintenance over time
- A structure that lasts for decades
This is where real value is created.
Why Value Matters More Than Price
A lower upfront price can sometimes mean compromises in materials, insulation, or overall build quality.
By focusing on value instead, you ensure that your granny flat performs better, lasts longer, and provides a more comfortable living environment.
